Lollipop Photos

The studio is buzzing with activity this week! I have a new product called "Lollipop" which I believe you will start seeing on many Facebook avatars! I love them because they are so much fun. We are going to offer a special on them at the Buck Creek Festival this weekend. They are currently priced at $55 each (1 color, 1 black and white, 1 color sized for the web on a disc). Our special will be 2 different images for the price of 1! Here's the poster that I'm on my way to Kinko's to have printed as well as a couple more images for you to check out. Math Team

This Friday and Saturday morning, Buddy and I will be working with the National Math Bee which is a nonprofit organization that puts together competitions among grades 1-6 throughout the United States. The competitions will start on Friday morning and end Saturday and are being held at McWane Center. We will be taking photos of each team which consists of between 3 and 5 kids per team. They are expecting at least 150kids (up to 300!). Watch this spot for some photos of teams from our area! We are excited to be a part of this worthwhile venture.

My other "son"

Ryan and Justin have been good friends throughout high school--I consider him one of mine. He came by the studio Friday to show off his good looks in his tux before going to the prom. Ryan and Justin are both graduating next month (did I say next month???!) and will be going to UAB. Ryan, you look terrific--hope you like these!

A Trip to the Zoo

Last week some of us from the local camera club went to the zoo. Mark took this photo of me, and I took photos of animals. I guess you could say Mark did, too! :) Enjoy!

New Websites!

Gretchen B Photography is now an exclusive wedding website, and I've gone back to the name of GretchensImages for my portrait work. The websites are up--please let me know what you think of them. My next project which I hope I'll finish before the end of the week is a new blog template from PhotoIdentities where I purchased my website templates. Whew!

Jackson is One!

It seems like just yesterday Jackson's parents were in the studio for their maternity session, and now Jackson has already celebrated his first birthday! Here is one image from today's session. I'll post more later. He thoroughly enjoyed his blue icing cupcake. This image was made while Andy and Carla were gathering Jackson's belongings. I got a happy look, I think, because he knew he was on his way to the park!

Jennifer the Bride

Last week Jennifer (who works at The White Room) came by the studio for her bridal session. Here's my absolute favorite (so far!). I'll post more later. Jennifer loves black and white...isn't this classic??? She and Wes were married in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, this past Saturday. Best wishes to them both!

Autumn's Bridal

Autumn may be coming tomorrow afternoon to look at her wedding slideshow, but I just have to put some of her bridal sessions up for you to see! She walked in the studio, and she absolutely took my breath away. I think you'll see why when you look at a few of my favorites from the session. We did the traditional poses but had a great time with a few "off the wall" poses and crops. Enjoy!

January Wedding

Autumn and Curtis were married on January 3 at the sweetest little Baptist church! We are almost finished with their photos are are planning for them to come look at their slideshow by the end of the week. When they've seen the show, I'll post some images for you to see. Their wedding was beautiful--the weather even held out for their big day. We had rain the night before, and it started raining as their reception was ending! Great timing.

Autumn and Curtis won the honeymoon give-away by Perfect Wedding Guide at their bridal show in August. I'm looking forward to hearing at least some of the details of their honeymoon!

Wedding Shows

The two January wedding shows are over, and we had a great time at both The Wynfrey and at the Southern Bridal Show at the BJCC! We talked with well over a hundred brides and have scheduled numerous meetings over the next week. We have only 10 more spots to fill, and we will be fully booked for 2009! We met quite a number of 2010 brides who are already talking with vendors! Please let us know if you'd like to meet with us to discuss your wedding plans. Our calendar is filling up quickly! :)

Bridal Shows

The bridal show at The Wynfrey this past Sunday was a great success! We met numerous brides and had a great time hearing all the different wedding plans. This coming Sunday, we'll be at the Southern Bridal Show at the BJCC. If you're planning to be there, please look for our booth. We are busy booking weddings for 2009 and into 2010! :)
